Activity is one of the basic, necessities in life. If you are worried about weight, poor mental health, aches and pains, osteoporosis the list is endless. Staying and possibly increasing your activity levels in a way that is right for you is very important.

The type, time, duration and quantity of exercise will depend upon your particular needs.

It's always best to consult your healthcare provider to make sure you are fit enough to undertake any change or more specifically increase in intensity or duration of your current activity levels.

  • Chiropractic patients will be advised not to sit for more than 20 minutes at their desk without standing up, this will help avoid aches and pains and actually improves your productivity. If driving, to take regular breaks getting out of the car and walking about. They may also be given additional homework to aid their own treatment regime without additional visits to the clinic.

  • Those with osteoporosis will be advised that strengthening exercises are advised and to avoid high impact exercise such as HIIT (High Intensity Intermittent Training) or playing squash etc.
  • Those whose weight is affecting their health and mobility, would most likely be advised to do 20-to-40-minute walks at a pace that raises their heart rate slightly and makes them a little warm and then monitored and advised how to safely increase their activity.

All these aspects are covered in the Forty-Fy Your Life Programme along with a Healthy Mindset and Healthy enjoyable Nutrition.
